Great Generations...

I have always loved sitting on the porch talking with my Grandma and Grandpa about "When they were young."  The stories from their childhood and 20's were so fascinating to me.  Their eventful stories of a simpler time were full of love, family, and nostalgia.  I often wish I could have known them when they were my age to see their life journey firsthand.

This is why I have partnered with Grand Prairie Assisted Living in Macomb, IL - to bring you the great stories of even greater generations.  I look forward to capturing all the events of Grand Prairie and bringing you their stories.

And Two Shall Become One....

When I first talked with Laura about her wedding I just knew it was going to be beautiful. "Simply elegant", she said. PERFECT! This was my own motto.  I knew that my photographic style would only be enhanced by the beauty of her wedding.  

When I arrived everything was in place - family, friends, love, and laughter.  This church was amazing.  Adam, the groom, said " We didn't even have to decorate, I mean why would we, look at this place."  I was in complete agreement. From the dozen spectacular stained glass windows that lined both sides of the church, to the serene white marble that blanketed everything - what could be more beautiful. 

Laura and Adam, I wish you a lifetime of love and laughter. May you always be kind to one another and enjoy life to the fullest.  Thank you for inviting me to share in your day, I loved every moment!

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

Had a great time getting to know the Arias Family.  Having a newborn session is great fun for me, but comes along with it's challenges. These little bundles of joy can make the simplest things complicated.  But isn't that why we want to remember these times.....so we can look back on the little babies our children once were and reflect on all the hard work we parents have put into raising them. Isabela was so funny.....we worked at a 5 picture pace. I would get about 5 pictures and then she would start to cry.  We made it through though, and I must say with a lovely collection to show for it.  I hope to see you soon Isabela.

I also love the colors, the style, the overall feeling of these clothes.

Fad or Trend?

There are so many photography styles and preferences out there.  I am more of a natural in-the-moment kind of girl. I love unusual, yet simple things - and of course! the details.

GRAND OPENING

I am so excited to announce that I will be opening a studio in Macomb, IL.  

After much deliberation and sleepless nights, I chose to go for the gusto.  Though most of my work is done on location and outdoors, I am looking forward to an indoor space to be super-creative in.  It will also allow GREAT versatility for my client's ideas and for those winter time sessions!
